St. Mary Catholic Church

20th May 2006 ~ Holy Matrimony of Steven & Venny.
Was quite surprised to receive the invitation in a way..... Sch mates with venny since secondary school days, then poly, and 3 years later in uni. We met in the washroom in SIM and I remembered asking her "Why are you here?". Guess we both wanted a break from the corporate life and to become student again! Alot of memories I supposed, even thought we were not very closed.... still managed to share some moments 2gether as students.

The exchange of vows & rings. I was touched! Father John Paul (if i remembered his name correctly) mentioned something that I've remembered till now. He said, "Do you quarrel?" Ven and Steve said "No"... Hmnnn. Father said itz good to quarrel coz it's only through these kinda sessions that couples learn about each other's differences and whether they can accept each other's good and bad. Then there's this particular sentence. "When both are deeply in love, even a PIMPLE becomes a DIMPLE.. so pretty!.... but when both are married or in a fight, a nice DIMPLE can become a really disgusting PIMPLE". I agreed. Guess it boils down to GIVE-&-TAKE. Courtship and marriage is a entire different story. But most important the PASSION muz be there. Afterall, it'll be a lifetime 2gether! If one party find he / she cun accept the other half's certain behavior, then it'll be a tough journey. Sometimes, it may require accomodation, and even changing your usual and most comfy way of doing things. My view is that it'll be worth the change. Some may say "It's my character! I'm like tat!"

Here's a pic of me & ven. Petite demure looking venny. 1st time seeing her having long hair. She's the active, sporty & friendly ger. She mentioned she will hair her clear short hair after her wedding. By the way, her full name is venny, and still venny. Guess alot of ppl will ask her wherever she goes! We always tot Indonesians have very long names, but she dun! Ha! Still remembered once when we submitted our uni project to Australia. and when it came back, there was a red circle on her name, with an indication her name was incomplete. Funie.

A group "shot".... really in-action literally! Many familiar faces. Some were from our sec sch, another one from poly and others from uni. And today we are all gathered here for a special reason. :)
