Beary Teddylicious

Last Sunday, I was @ this bear show, held @ The Art House, Old Parliament Lane. Was expecting a big gallery showcasing all the international teddies, but turned out to be a small gallery. Good thing was.... the teddies were all lying around and yes... can touch and hug them!!! Surprisingly these teddies cost only around SGD$200+ and for some $500+ for charity purposes. From what i know, real classic and collectible teddies can cost thousands of dollars, and for display only.

At this event, the teddies and stuff being showcased were mainly from Singapore, USA, and New Zealand. Most attention seeking booth was the NZ teddies. Very glamorously decorated with hats, shoes, laces, handbags and brooches, etc. On comparison, another SG booth comes across as more down to earth; Russ collection. Their range of teddies, froggies, bunnies, etc... were also available for sale and @ real affordable prices. The cottage country bunny & the green teddy i was holding (see above collage; 2 pics from the bottom left corner) only cost SG$20-$25 each. Almost wanted to buy, but on 2nd totz decided not to waste $ on such items i dun really need. Good to look at, of course. I'm a typical gal who likes huggable teddies. But spare me the sweetie pinkies and overly adorable stuff. Too old and embarrassed to be seen around them, anyway.

The afternoon was great.. took quite a nos. of shots with my digi and tested using different exposure level. Din know that function until my friend told me. Might have a chance to hands-on with his Pro Nikon Cam one of these days. Always kinda like photography, but never had a chance to learn those terminology / techniques from anyone or anywhere. And couldn't afford such luxury item... and have heard a fully equipped one can cost around 10K.

Alritey.... Tatz so much for this blog entry.
