An Interesting Day in Pengerang JB. Day well spent.. Got up so early @ 6am on a weekend to meet up with the whole group @ Newton. Damned the causeway jam.... we ended up reaching JB around 9am.
Buaya Farm in Pengerang
Private Owned, so no charges for entrance fees.

Only few weeks old KoKodile so cute... erh... maybe cute not the right word to use; perhaps so harmless is a beta word. The skin got this rubber / fake feeling when I touched it. The tummy part is soft soft. We went around to tour the entire farm... Hell hot hot hot loh.. totally no shade! The larger buayas looked really scarie and always on guard against attacks from surroundings.
Always love to snap pics while on the move, esp skies + clouds. The fluffy clouds and the green palms on the field.
We hardly get to see such greens back on homeground and most importantly free from blockage of high raised bldgs, so I guess I appreciate it more when I get the chance to see them outside the country.
Pengerang Ostrich Farm
Private Owned as well, so no entrance fees required.

Quite an interesting place coz we get to get so up close and personal with Ostriches of all ages. Very friendly I would say, and hungry! HaHa..
Gosh... Rock Hard Os Egg! Can withstand my weight of 48kg!
Hungry Baby Os.. Tink they are around 4weeks old.
金鸡独立!哈哈 :)
Tot this was a funie sight, so quickly captured it on my digi. When i went closer, the rooster moved, and then I realised it was "bai ka", tatz why gotta hold the other feet up in the air. It wasn't doing some kinda kungfu stun.
Prettiest Ostrich on the Farm. Nice dark greyish black feathers ~ Looked like cabaret Dancers with pretty feather bowers.
Friendly ah bek explaining to us the various parts of the Ostrich and he plucked out dead feathers from Sharon's body, so called useless ones. He told us good feathers should never be plucked coz will caused the Ostrich to bleed badly and go mad, literally! Sharon is one of the expensive Ostrich on this farm; costs more than thousands of dollars.
So pretty, rite? Feather Bowers like a crown! This fighting breed of roosters came all the way from Poland. Loved the defined colors.
Check this out! So cute.. Never knew roosters can be trained too! When the ah bek grab it and put on the ground and told the rooster to 不要动, it really freezed. And when the command 好了。。起来了, it got up! I was amazed! More like parrots than roosters!
Quite scarie hor... I tot the baby Os was dying. But nop, it was put inside this incubator. Even the egg shell was cracked intentionally by the farm's care takers; to help them develop and grow. Infact all the ostriches here in this farm are 人工孵化+养殖。 They dun have mummies to sit on them for a very long time and then cracked out of the shell on their own. And guess what, juz when we were done with the farm tour, we were offered Ostrich Meat Satay! OMG!!! Where got appetite to buy the satay and have a feast right in front of those cute lovable creatures. Just a while ago, we snapped pics with them and sayang them, then the next min. we eat them! Sighz... I dun have the heart to do it. Some guys went ahead to eat and I gave them tat look!
HuRRay!!! Main Attraction of the Day ~ Go Karting @ Permas
Very very near SG. Infact we saw a few SG cars parked there, which was to say that alot of SG ppl drive in to play. You can consider too. Car-pool a group of friends and aftertat go for a cheap & good Seafood dinner by the sea. We did tat :) And btw, tis go kart place wil be moving in June tis yr. Heard caretaker mention will be somewhere not too far, with more than tracks for international racing. Ooh La La..... Nice! Maybe it will be categorised as Learner's Track / Intermediate / Advanced / Professional, etc...
What is this? Make a guess!
So excited! My 1st race! I missed it the other time coz I got cold feet seeing real pro racers flashing pass the tracks. A pity that we got on the tracks when dark falls. Coz we started the day late due to the damned causeway jam, so every other thing was pushed back, including meals! Grggh! But anyway, it was worth it lah! Damn Shiok! A few good racers among us; we have p/t swimming coach Troy & oso Captain Dennis who even brought his own helmet (@_@). Esther gal was good too; maybe she was well trained back in Aust during varsity days.
All Geared ~ You Go Gers!!!
Oh Yeah... I like this pic! Racer Nos. 12
Un-ter-there.... Un-ter-there.... Hee Ba... Hee Ba
Un-ter-there.... Un-ter-there.... Hee Ba... Hee Ba
The feeling of the wind against my face, and the feeling of in control was good! But there was tiny rocks and dust hitting my face loh *YucKs*. I sang along the way and laugh too.. Mad Woman! I even screamed coz one of the corner turns I wasn't expecting it to zoom down the slope so fast and I madly step on the breaks pedal but anyhow, I still made it w/o crashing against any protective tyres around all corners. *Cold Sweat*
Jasmine ~ Racer Nos. 16

Jenny ~ Racer Nos. 11 getting nervous
Oopz.. Our potographer forgot to take a quick pic of esther on her kart. She turned out to be a fast racer loh (commented by track caretaker)! Dun asked me whose last ;p The entire event was great! I loved it! Would look forward to more of such events, rather than a weekend doing usual routines and wasting precious weekends. Here, at least I get to meet new people, with the same interest and fun to hangout with too.
