Ice Cold Monster Mamamiaaa

ICE COLD...? BEER? 黑啤酒? Noop! Check this out!
Tried smooth icy desserts with fresh fruits in S'pore? This is the shop to visit. 冰馆 located @ 180 Bencoolen Street, #01-23 The Bencoolen. Very Taiwan style and itz the only outlet here @ Bugis (near Bugis OG). Place of origin: Taipei City.... Probably I've missed it when I was there in Apr-May this year... only tasted similar one at Shilin Nite Mkt.

Menu... Quite a variety, yeah!

Slurp!!! Mouth Watering Mixed Fruits (综合冰) Milky Ice topped with Mango Sherbet. Do opt 4 a regular size for sharing... Like I mention b4, food taste better when shared;) Regular bowl priced @ $7.90. Pretty steep for a bowl of ice and fruits, but then again... better than paying cheap ice kachang that doesnt taste nice and so ordinary, agree?! Itz amazingly filling, even when shared among 2. I had my dinner less than 15mins back, and cun resist the temptation and is a new found place to really "chill" out (in fact was heading 2wds bus stop.... totally din expect to stop 4 desserts)

Interesting! Eat and learn..... The benefits of various fruits, all charted 4 ur reference.

Side Menu ~ Sandwiches and pies to complement the desserts, and perhaps I do c it as a biz gimmick.. showing to both customers & competitors they offer more than juz desserts. VARIETY is the word.... makes the entire biz package more complete & presentable. Get wat i mean?

Celebs hangout @ this place.
Pin-ups of articles and pics helps to boost up image and attract more new customers I suppose.

Review: I find this place's concept is good and store layout is clean and simple. For desserts, it's the main selling point. However personally feel what is lacking as compared to Taipei store could be the ICE. I'm serious. Something so common but yet is the most impt ingredient. I feel it's still inferior compared to the SMOOTH 绵绵冰 from Taipei. Melts nicely in your tongue, and not like the usual "rough" ice. Issue lies with the ice making machine, rite? Ice is ice what... from water only mah, so not ice fault! Y cun ppl afford to bring the machine in as well? It's good biz mann..... maybe one day someday I go get the sole proprietorship for bringing in the machine and making the ice. Hmnnn..... After that, I can become the supplier and sell this idea to all those interested parties. Big bucks leh! Who wants to be my partner? I have idea now but no cash to fork out! Heee........ U dun steal my idea I tell u hah!

Then comes another factor.... The location is BAD! I was there on a Sat ard 8pm. No crowd @ all. Sucha "GOD noes WHERE" corner @ Bugis. People who will go all the way there either go Sim Lim (like myself) or go OG shopping.... who will noe therez sucha place?! Wasted! Let's c how long the biz can survive. Imagine if itz in town, but of coz the rental would be more than doubled! Or perhaps the crowd do cum in during wkdays, esp lunch time; nearby offices and also NAFA campus within walking distance. Can do a check on one of the wkday juz 4 kpo sake!
